Project Introduction |
|
For this Revit project we had to build a shed that fit specific constraints and contained certain materials. We used Revit, a 3D CAD software that specializes in architecture to model a functional shed. The shed must have been 16 ft X 12 ft and had specific siding and roof qualities. We had to modify components of the house in order to meet those restraints. We also had to apply specific architectural techniques such as roof types and wall/floor types.

This project was very interesting and I had a good time coming back to Revit again. It was a bit confusing but once you learned the basics it was basically repetition. Revit is a very convenient software for architecture and making building plans. Some of the things i found most difficult was applying the gable roof because you have to change variables in between steps in order to use the specific roof type and not make a completely different roof altogether. Changing the properties and materials of the walls was also a very tedious process because you had to find very specific materials from a large list. All around it was a very fun project that I was able to complete with ease and I am excited to work with the software again in the future.
