What are hydrogen fuel cells and solar fuel cells?
Hydrogen Fuel Cell
A fuel cell combines oxygen and hydrogen to produce electricity, heat, and water. Fuel cells convert chemical energy into electricity. The first fuel cell was created in 1839 by Sir William Grove during an electrolysis experiment. There are six different types of fuel cells, Alkaline, Polymer Electrolyte Membrane, Direct Methanol, Solid Oxide, Molten, Carbonate, and Phosphoric Acid. Fuel cell power stations also provide high quality power with little to no emissions. They are also sustainable, quiet, safe, and efficient
Solar Cell
A solar cell is a photovoltaic cell that converts sunlight into electricity, also known as a solar panel. Solar cells take radiant solar energy and convert it into electricity that can be used by homes, businesses, and many other buildings that require electricity.
